Re: Stealth Question
So I adjusted the diff and recovered my speed. But there is occasionally a loud sound, kind of low sound now from launch. I'm guessing that's the slipper pad?
Also, based on what I have, can I still upgrade it with B4 parts? If so, what are the parts needed? Links would be helpful!

Re: Stealth Question
Prob the diff barking from flat spotted diff balls from the earlier mis adjustment, the B4 parts for the slipper can be brought over if you have installed the B4 topshaft, the B4 pads and inner and outer hub ( same PN )

Re: Stealth Question
Here's another question on the Stealth Trannys but more for mounting the actual cases....
Mounting holes.....
Is the B2/B3 tranny case a direct mount onto a B-stamp Stealth CE chassis like the original 2.25 Stealth or is the bolt pattern slightly different??
I ask because the GFRP cases mount directly into a b2/b3, but he wasn't sure about the original Stealth mounting holes.
The GFRP delrin cases take the gears from the b4/SC10s. They make a gear diff AND a ball diff case.....sooooo I was thinking of using one in my 94 Stealth CE runner if it mounts up without too much modding. I guess a lot of dirt oval guys could chime in on this as GFRP is predominately left-turn stuff.
Thanks gang!

Re: Stealth Question
Hey all, so I've been running my car a lot on my street with the new B4 top shaft / pad etc and everything was fine until today when I installed my new Gens Ace Lipo. Ran it a few times up and down the street and then I noticed that it was going slower but there was a lot of sound coming from the tranny (high pitched squeeling). I thought maybe the top shaft nut needed to be tightened so I cranked it all the way down and it still didn't help.
Took off the gear cover and the pinion is spinning the spur but the wheels aren't moving much.
So I took off the spur and pads etc and if I spin the top shaft, the wheels spin no problem at all. If I spin the top shaft by hand, both wheels spin no problem. So I don't think the gears are screwed up internally. Could the diff nut need to be tightened or is it possible I need new slipper pads already? How can you tell when the slipper pads are worn out?
