here is one for ya's, i have a few different bits of white/cream nylon with similar stains, was going to try rit colour remover but thought i might ask on here.


seams to have soaked in below the surface of the nylon.

give it a try. It could also be contamination in the material. I had a set of wheels I just dyed that where white nylon that had a tiny little bit of purple colored spots, I assume from colored plastic that got stuck in the mix.

certainly looks to be in the nylon, ill let ya know how i go. got quite a few pieces with similar contamination :?

I have had various pieces molded with imperfections in the plastic. If this is the case, the only hope is replacement. -Jeff

might just dye it black, and get a fresh white one. thanks dude 8)

A friend from another website, uses peroxide[hair bleach] to clean his parts. He soaks them in a big Rubbermaid tub sitting in the sun for a couple of days. And so far it seems to work very well. All of his vintage RCs that I have seen look brand spankin' new.

the other option you have it to lightly scrape the stained part. If the blemish isn't very deep, you can scratch it away and blend it in, and unless you are looking at it more closely than a normal person should, you won't see it.

I use a nice fresh exacto to scrape frayed edges and stained spots on arms and stuff.

yes marv we have been on too the peroxide trick for quite a while on rc10talk :wink no luck for my parts with this method :roll:

looking to close! yep guilty, some parts i have done just that mate with the exacto, but other's i just cant :roll:
