here is one for ya's, i have a few different bits of white/cream nylon with similar stains, was going to try rit colour remover but thought i might ask on here.
seams to have soaked in below the surface of the nylon.
give it a try. It could also be contamination in the material. I had a set of wheels I just dyed that where white nylon that had a tiny little bit of purple colored spots, I assume from colored plastic that got stuck in the mix.
A friend from another website, uses peroxide[hair bleach] to clean his parts. He soaks them in a big Rubbermaid tub sitting in the sun for a couple of days. And so far it seems to work very well. All of his vintage RCs that I have seen look brand spankin' new.
the other option you have it to lightly scrape the stained part. If the blemish isn't very deep, you can scratch it away and blend it in, and unless you are looking at it more closely than a normal person should, you won't see it.
I use a nice fresh exacto to scrape frayed edges and stained spots on arms and stuff.

I guess I'm a little behind everyone else,I just found out about the peroxide trick a couple of months ago.
If you can push a screwdriver through a rusty sheetmetal panel, you might be able to remove the rust with laser, but you'll still be able to push a screwdriver through it.
I can't find any good references on priming or painting nylon.
Has anyone had any luck or experience?
Tamiya had a special primer for polypropylene, nylon, FRP and other similar materials.
It seems to be discontinued.

try mcmaster carr. either nylon (6/6 is common) or delrin (acetal). probably 1/4 thick or 3/8 thick will be sufficient.

Fyi, i discovered, completely by accident a way to get old paint of lexan. Not exactly sure what paint it effects as it was a prepainted body. Use the citris base cleaners u would use to get old stickers off things. I was cleaning some very old...
I'm sure this has been asked a couple of times but would it be better to strip paint off the outside and inside or just do a 200g sand job and respray a light coat? It is an old Bolink Thunderbird body.

You're better off buying a new body if you can. It's a lot of work to strip paint.

depending where it is you can always just soak with water... clay will always soften with warm water.
