Scorpion Wheels?????
Almost finished my Turbo Scorpion that i got from Bormac.
It really starting to take shape all i have to do is find some rims to fit it.
Is there any other rims that will fit this Buggy?????
Optima hex drives dont fit so im left with the standard drive dog.
I really like the alloy rims from Pargu 2000 but dont have that cash at this stage.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.
Mark.

Re: Scorpion Wheels?????
Maybe you can replace the axle?
I use those scorpion trailing arms on one of my custom builds: replaced the pressure bearings with 2 pairs of flanged bearings combined to Kose widening axles for the TLT-1.
So now I can use todays narrow offset wheels with 12mm hex fit.

Re: Scorpion Wheels?????
which widening wheel axle type do you use? 8mm?
I haven't tried but you could use contemporary zx-5 type as well, if you change the ball bearing diameter specs...? (haven't tried though)

Re: Scorpion Wheels?????
They came in a lot of different widths to pick from. I think... I went with 12mm.
ZX-5 wheels are one of the types of wheels I used to run on it already. Because these wheels reach further inward 8mm would not leave enough space for the shock to attach on the arm.
The axles are 5 mm and the carriers measure 10 (or 11?). And because there's no inner shoulder you really need the flanged type.
A picture says more than a 1000 words: I'm not sure these axles would work with the scorpions dogbones: aren't those heavier than for example the ones used on the ultima?

There's a couple of threads showing it at different tracks etc. but I think this one has the most recent built images:
