No, Reggie has it right. The 2.65 trans uses the top shaft with less teeth. That is why the 2.65 grenades idler gears with todays modern electronics (less teeth engaged on idler= higher tooth load). A Steel gt idler helps, but then you blow teeth off diff gears if not swapped every race day.
