Big bore shocks.
Big bore shocks.
I know someone has probably asked before but what shocks off the new associated models will fit the rc10t? Are they bolt on or do I need to make modifications?

Re: Big bore shocks.
same applies to this as the world car. Need to check the lengths of the big bores as compared to the rc10t shocks and use spacers where needed to adjust for clearances.

Re: Big bore shocks.
The T4.2 Big Bores are a direct fit, just need appropriate spacers / shims to shim them away from the tower, etc.

Re: Big bore shocks.
watch out the front end with BB - as you have to space the top further away from the shock tower, they're beginning to work the wrong angle from the bottom (which can't be spaced), which is even worse as the suspension is compressed. I don't BB's to check on one of my 10T's but I'm thinking there's gonna be some bindin' in there.
Not an issue in the back as you can space both top and bottom ends. Watch out for the body clearance, still.

Re: Big bore shocks.
What about shimming the shock tower back from the bulkhead? Not much, just enough to pull the shock back into better alignment.

Re: Big bore shocks.
yeah, just have to watch crashing into the bellcranks with the upper links. probably a funky two (or 3) part shock tower would get you where you need to be. short tower for the upper link balls that secures to a tower mounted behind it above the upper links.

Re: Big bore shocks.
I have the new style ( I think T2 & GT #7206) front arms on mine 10T runner, so spacing isn't a issue. I don't have a set of BB's right now, but seriously considering them for that truck since it will more than likely see some track time. Maybe mine is a frankentruck.

Re: Big bore shocks.
A better option might be to run these on the front.

Re: Big bore shocks.
That's the stock 10T bottom ends... I don't think it will alleviate the issue. But then again, one has to try to see how it all nets out.RS Chris wrote:A better option might be to run these on the front.
