Big bore shocks

Hey guys, I’m setting up an RC10 to run at my local Clay track. I plan on putting some big bore shocks on it that I took off of a B5m. I’m looking for some basic set up Tips since I know several of you guys have run big bore shocks on your RC10s. What weight shock oil front and rear is a good starting point? What springs front and rear? The stock Springs that were on the B5m were the blue tab Springs.

Since the 4.2 and b5, not M, were a rear motor car, look for the setup sheet of a b5 or b4.2 on a clay track. It should be a good starting point.

I got this Big Bore shock setup from JK Racing a while back:

23mm bodies up front X 21mm shaft
31mm bodies out back X 27.5mm shaft

1.7 hole pistons front, brown springs, 27.5 oil
1.6 hole pistons rear, green springs, 25 oil

I need to test more but, I used shocks from a B5 with factory works towers. I used kit pistons with 30W oil. My suggestion is to measure your current droop setup and match that with your new setup. I liked green springs front and rear but, tune to your conditions. This is a huge change to the car. Just make sure you are not pushing the dog bones against the outdrives.
