topcat narrow tract arms: how to tell?

Post by zoomzoombang »

as I was looking through my topcat bits and bob, I realized that I have no clue whether it's got the narrow tract or stock item. Can anyone give me the length from the a-arm pivot pin to the pillow ball capture end. And what about the decreased castor hub, how would I be able to tell? Thanks.

Narrow track front arms are molded with part number T287 on the underside and measure 77mm overall. Standard arms measure 82mm overall.

As for the caster variation you'll find there are two different top suspension arms. The original have a square sharp finish while the revised and reduced castor items have a smoother finish and have part number T284 molded on the underside.
Hope this helps.

Just have a look for those part numbers which will be on the underside of these parts. If they don't have any then it's a good bet you have the factory original bits.
