Narrow Front JRX2 Bulkhead with LXT arms? Hmmmm
Has anyone ever created a narrow X2 bulkhead that would allow a long arm Jrx2 build with the LXT front arms? Sort of like the what's old is new RC10 builds that run 10T front arms? I imagine narrowing a graphite chassis plate for it to bolt too? I have tried a lot of combos but would need to think.
I am sure I could chop and narrow a front X2 bulkhead and get creative with plastic welding. Maybe a 3d printing wizard could come up with one?

Shouldn't even need to plastic weld it, just do a two piece like the Traxxas. You could run a hinge pin brace across the front to strengthen it more

I knew I'd get a good idea here, that was really my goal , thanks
Have to think about shock tower mounting too. Turnbuckles are easy and steering should not need to change with the X2 design. I see a build coming. Then mid engine and I won't have to go by a 22 4.0 to keep up with the guys on the astroturf.
This one will require some thinking but could be a good winter project.

Shock tower would be pretty straightforward too, as the mounting holes are further out than the chassis mounts so however far you narrow the bulkhead, just narrow the tower holes as well. It will tie things together. The upper part of the bulkhead where the upper deck bolts down on the plastic cars could also be a good place to tie it together and possibly add the body mount as well

I'm liking this idea, I thought I might be running out of JRX build ideas, this one could be a new challenge. JG made a body mount just like that for X2, of course for this it would need to be narrowed. I have an extra set of RPM LXT arms that would look real nice.

Yep JG made one and A&L did as well. Would be easy enough to make one. Just have to see if the nose of the body could pass through the new tower or not.

Custom shock tower is doable or hacking a body. I was building up this pro with RPM stuff, I think it just got a new purpose as I was not overly excited about it as is.
Which two piece Traxxas bulkhead were you referencing?

Nitro hawk was a good example. Not sure if others used it

Looking at the pic of Nitro Hawk that is basically it indeed. I'll get working in a couple weeks. Was used on TRX1 as well, part #TRA2731, I ordered a couple just in case they may even work with a little modification. They are cheap.
