cvd bearings and 2.2 wheels
cvd bearings and 2.2 wheels
Hi all
What size bearings do I need to run CVDs please?
Also I have had a search around the forums and it seems that the duratrax wheels are the only 2.2 available now is this correct?
Thanks

Well I just bought some MIPs from tower and the hubs are the original ones.

Re: cvd bearings and 2.2 wheels
For the RC10 cvd you will need 4-1/4x3/8 flanged bearings. Check the post in this section " how to run 2.2 tires". I don't think tower stocks the B2 cvd any more Check ebay. Duratrax and kyosho have 2.2 rims that will work with the stock hubs. But those rims will only work with the 3/16 B2 cvd or axles. You can also go this route with associated parts.
2-#7378 axles
1-#7369 pins
1-#7368 shims
4- 3/16x3/8 flanged bearings (from avid)

Re: cvd bearings and 2.2 wheels
The CVD axles from the RC10GT will fit any wheels that use 3/16"x3/8" bearings. I'll be doing this when I get around to rebuilding my buggy, in order to run Dirt Hawgs. The other option is to get some dogbones to work with the spare 3/16" axles I have, but I would only save a few dollars versus rebuilding my CVDs.
