Scored a nitro car.Can someone ID the model type?
Hey folks.Helped a buddy and he gave me this. The motor was thought to be seized but after removing it I found it turned.
Does anyone know what model of car this is?
Thanks,Dave

To me it looks like a Nitro DS with a GT blue tub and a weird roll cage

Neat hand-made roll cage. Can't help in working on the car, though. Yikes.
Definitely a nitro DS.
Really cool!

Thanks guys. The cage looks like its made of brass maybe.Very well made.Looks factory. It comes off pretty easy.Working on it would be pretty much impossible with the cage on. So if I wanna find parts I look for ASSOCIATED DS ?
Thanks ,Dave

The Nitro Dual Sport shares some parts with the electric version, so depending on what you're searching for, you'll look for Associated (Nitro) Duals Sport...

The chassis is NDS specific, but you can shorten a GT chassis (looks like what happened to yours). The DS chassis was never available in blue.

I will do my best to find my new one tomorrow and get the manual scanned and posted.
If you know part Nos etc
http://www.podiumrc.co.uk
list parts, and did turn up a set of decals for a DS for me that they listed.
