To buy or not to buy (updated 4/25)
Hi everyone. I got a heads up on this yokomo. I believe its a mr4bc or bcs??
They want $100 for it. Good deal or not?? Are these hard to locate parts for?

Re: To buy or not to buy
It's a nice car, but how hard is it to get parts for? I would think online auctions would be a good gauge of how hard they are to come by...

Re: To buy or not to buy
Its looks like the MR4BC special, for 100 bucks I would snap it up as the special is quite a bit rarer than the MR4BC vanilla. Parts wise its a mix of MR4 touring car and MX4. Parts are available and both cars come up often on flea bay.

Re: To buy or not to buy
Thanks for the info! I will grab this. They said there is some hot glue on the front shock tower so it might need that, but otherwise looks real nice. Thanks again for the input!!

Re: To buy or not to buy
To my knowledge the slipper was an option, the standard special had no clutch and was a complete handfull to drive, even though it was lengthened it was still too short and would do random cartwheels when you least expected it too.

Re: To buy or not to buy
I got the car and it looks to have had little run time. They most likely drove it, smacked it up and put it away. It needs a front bulkhead cap and a 1 shock cap. I can't seem to locate either part. Any help on where to find these would be great. Thanks!!

That upper gearcase halve with the shocktower mount is the problem part of this car and thus hard to find replacements for I'm affraid.

Re: To buy or not to buy (updated 4/25)
I searched all over for the bulkhead cap. I ordered one from dms racing but to only find out that it was out of stock. About a 2 days later i found it on the bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320510871578&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Great price also. Still waiting to get the parts. Can't wait.

I have 2 sets of ys-8y shock end caps that it says are for the mr4-tc. These are the octagonal shaped caps that have the small hole for bleeding and of course the tiny bleed screw is included. There is 2 count in each package so 4 altogether. Let me know if your interested.

Re: To buy or not to buy (updated 4/25)
Sorry i didnt see this sooner. I have a few spare parts I may be able to help with, including belts.
Mine doesnt have a one way but it is still pretty decent to drive. The problem I have with it is the rear belt is super tight, and theres no adjustment for it. Not sure how im going to fix it. Im quite certain its the reason the motors overheat in it, too much drag.
