Yokomo MX-4 impulse Buy (Updated 05/19/11)

Post by nvxwax »

Ok here is a impulse buy, I was wandering around ebay and came across this with less then a minute left, well needless to say it looked like a low selling price in the seconds i had to look over the pics, so i placed a bid and ended up with it, after buying it i finished reading the listing to see what i got  . Not sure i got a very good deal (around 75 bucks) but that's what happens when your in the moment lol.

Ok here are some pics, Anybody know what is original and whats modified?

O you have to love the tail lights and the gallon of Hot glue holding the servo and lights on lol, i hope that stuff cleans up ok

Good project to do up and use as a runner?

Non original... shocks, shock mounts, turnbuckles/ball cups

p.s. both battery plates missing and battery posts missing r/h side

Those shock towers look original to me :?

The hardest part to find will be the original battery straps but the numbers are ZM118R and ZM118L as in right and left.

Hi Peter, no I meant the alloy bush things that secure top of shocks to shock towers

edit: battery straps shouldn't be too hard to find and Fibre-Lyte will be able to help should originals prove illusive

Well I have made a little progress on the cleanup, I still need to find some batter posts and a rear carbon fiber rear tower, I also have to find a body that will work on it.

I used Kyosho Velvet shocks, I love the look of them ...
