RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
Well I'm trying to do a build with nothing but new parts and so far the only part I can't find is # 6226 Front inner hing pins. Are there any other pins out there (associated or not) that are the same?
Also I remember reading here somewhere that you can use the B4 slipper assembly on the RPM trans with the RPM Hydra top shaft and still use the Stock gear cover. I can't find where I read that but any info would be great.
Thanks,
James

http://www.rc4less.com has a section on their site under front end parts where you can choose the length of hinge pin you want. choose the 1.500. same length as the 6226.
i would copy/paste the link, but it doesn't work.

Re: RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
I also remember reading about a losi double slipper set-up for the hydra drive top shaft. What parts would I need to do that?
sorry to ask so many questions but I picked up this RPM Case and it came with the hydra top shaft and I'm just wondering if I have any other options for a slipper assembly besides running the Hydradrive.

Re: RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
I'm not sure the B4 slipper assembly will fit without any mods. However, the Hydra unit uses exactly the same top shaft as the Losi double slipper set-up, so that should work without any problem. I'm sure someone here could scan the whole parts list needed to build the slipper.metallicats33 wrote:I also remember reading about a losi double slipper set-up for the hydra drive top shaft. Have you already tried to fir the B4 slipper unit on the Hydra shaft?

Re: RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
The Losi double slipper and the B4 slipper are the same design: slipper hub on the inside with a slipper pad between it and the spur gear, then another slipper pad on the outside of the spur gear and another slipper hub, slipper spring and a nut. Someone should be able to chime in and say for sure if it's a bolt on scenario, I think it is I just don't have the parts in front of me right now.

Re: RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
Hi All,
a friend of mine was kind enough to give me his NIP Hyrda Drive kit (for losi) and is wondering what is needed to retro fit this to a rc10 Stealth (2.25) tranny? with that being said, would also like to know is having a B4 Double Slipper setup better than a Hydra Drive kit installed, planning to use it in racing.
Thanks in advance guys.

all you will need to get it onto the stealth is the Hydra/stealth topshaft, there is always one or two on ebay. For smooth tracks the double slipper will be best. The hydra drive was designed for rough/loose tracks.slow_jun wrote:Hi All,

Re: RPM Trans with B4 slipper & Front inner hinge pins help
thanks metallicats33,
saw the top shaft for RC10, i inspected the Hydra drive kit last night and saw that there were missing screws, will try to look for one in Ebay. I believe there was a rebuild kit for Hydra drive before, is it still available in tower or Amain? or best bet would be Ebay?
thanks again, will try first my double slipper , once ive completed the screws and purchased the top shaft, will try running it.
