Hi guys,
I have a nice working NER2X Novak receiver but the black tap that seals the case is gone. Does anyone know what it was and where to get some?
Cheers
Ed
P.S. This might be in the wrong place as the forum has just changed...

use some 1/4" black pin stripping, or cut some black elecrical tape into a 1/4" strip.

Yes I thought that might work, but is that what it was?
The old stuff seemed to have shrunk into and filled the gaps between the two receiver halves. I don't know, will electrical tape do that?

the novak tape (comes on 2s recievers and novak 1 esc's) is textured like the tekin stuff am i wrong, there is a rubber seal in between the 2 case halfs on the later esc's..

Hmm, well if there was a rubber seal then mine is gone... I might just wrap it in electrical tape and call it a day.
BTW bongo, shrink wrap won't work as you need to cut it to fit the crystal in the receiver so it won't stick to the case.

I've bought this type texture vinyl tape long ago, Ithink it was specially resistant ot water and could be used to seal leaking tubes etc. The width was far off, but with the woven texture it was easy to tear at a constant width. DIY stores are your best bet

I'd give Charlie over at Novak an email. He could tell you what it is, might even have some he'd send you if you asked real nice. Always had good interactions with him.

You can use just about any type of tape. I like to use normal Black
Electrical tape as it is wider.
Cheers for that Halgar (and Charlie obviously)
