i picked up a gold tub rc10 locally and also got a graphite chassis with it, i am trying to switch evrything over to the graphite chassis . When i put the steering arms in i noticed the threaded ball ends come real close to the chassis is the install right i have took a picture, i wonder if the washer is enough.
thanks Brandon
when your using the stock bellcrank on a graphite chassis, you need to use an 8/32 nut under the bellcrank, to actually tighten the screw to the chassis first. the nut is taller than the washer, and should solve your clearance issue.
ok, I borrowed the pic from 59burst but these are the same bell-cranks I'm trying to install on my DS.

I tried using the standard flat top screws, but they are too short. So I used two short Truck nose plate screws but there is a lot...

I've had several sets of these and am not impressed. RPM made a better set up later on that accomodates bearings. I think the best you can do on these is to make sure they are oiled/greased.
Well I got them on the DS I just finished and I Kinda...
So I'm trying to put lunsford turnbuckles on my zx5 but I have ran into a snag. The RPM ball caps don't seem to be the right size(to small). Is this correct or am I just being a tard? can I only use the stock black ball caps that came on the ZX5?

Kyosho is 3mm & Losi is 4-40...I dont recommend putting 4-40 into a 3mm used hole. But if the parts were new, no issues.
I picked a set up on E-bay and when they came they looked like they've been under water for a long time  ... the bearings are rusted solid!!! I need to know what size the bearings are so I can hit the hobby shop for a new set?

so i been slowly working on my hotshot re-re.... finally got to the servo/electronics setup...
is there anyway to increase steering a bit on these cars? basically the steering is a direct servo turn (like frog and others). no bellcranks or anything...

Just wanted to update the ball raced steering option I have gone with. Obviously I have fabricated a base plate from 1.6mm fibreglass which is held in place through the original servo mounting holes. It took some working out to get this right. Ive...
I am going though a semi-buggy conversion of a RC10T I found locally.. I just picked up a set of aluminum bellcranks from an RC10 and noticed my steering was all messed up - (see pic below)... I had to lengthen the linkage between the crank arms to...

Post deleted - I guess I did have the other holes... DOH!!!
What options do I have (without having to drill my chassis) to upgrade my steering bellcrank? I currently have the original that came with the kit installed. I would love to upgrade to a higher level of steering, though. I'd like...

thanks im gonna add them to my Avid order tomorrow.
The manual shows the Worlds car being built with a black 6254 bell crank steering but I saw another one in a online French museum with white bell cranks. So is white correct, was it first supplied and then replaced with black?

I deferred to the written word in the manual and went with white. I think it looks better in white and it also justifies the $45 the white nip bell crank steering set me back.
