Hi everyone,
This is a great site for RC10 info. Here are some pics of my worlds car. I don't remeber what year I got it, but it was just after the B2 came out. The guy at the hobby shop was trying to get me to buy the B2, but my older brother made me get the worlds car instead. I'm gad he did because this is the best RC car I've had. As long as I've had it, the ONLY thing to ever break was one of the ball cups. It seems like this car is indestructable. I have a xxx-4 and an academy sb pro and I'm always breaking a-arms and shock towers. I still use the worlds car and it just keeps going. The only things not original are:
-RPM Bumper
-Fron Sway Bar
-RPM Ball cups and thicker tie rods
-That little plastic shelf thing on the rear shock tower for the speed control
I was going to say if that is all you have broke, you are not running it hard enough. Then I saw picture 3 . OK, so I was wrong. You definitely getting your moneys worth there. Great looking car by the way.
And welcome to the forum.
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.
thanks,
i drive this car really hard. its done more flips and cartwheels than a olympic gymnast. i just got a graphite chassis on ebay that i'm going to transfer everying over to. mayble that will make it a little lighter. when i get the chassis in the mail i'll takes some pictures. it looks like the original graphite chassis w/ battery slots cut into it. i've never seen on like that before.
its kind of like that. its not silver though and there are a lot of different holes in it. i'm going to have to drill holes for the stealth trans and i'm not entirely sure if it has the right holes for the steering servo. here's the picture from the ebay auction.
scr8p,
i thought the battery holes were unusually far forward, but i didn't know why. are there special parts needed to make the car mid engine? also, would i drill the holes for the stealth trans in the same spot as the worlds car or would that have to be move back or forward? i origionally wanted a tekin chassis so i could have a mid engin rc10 but they were selling on ebay for more than i wanted to spend.
on a side note, and not to rub it in, but i acually won that chasis with my max bid. if you, or anyone bid $0.01 more, i wouldn't have one it.
no, you don't need any special parts. just take everything off the back of your worlds chassis, and spin it backwards. keep your arm mounts and hub carriers on the same side though (l&r). you also need to flip the trans topshaft so it comes out the other side of the trans. the motor plate and spacers, too. the trans will need to be mounted in the same position as it is in your worlds tub, just spun around. i don't know if you have one of those ae drill templates, but you could just use your tub chassis to mark the holes.
i also wanted that chassis, i was not home and missed it too. i really wanted it because it was mid motor. also wou will have to come up with a interesting way to mount the steering servo because it will not fit between the battery and the bellcranks. it would have too a very small servo or be stood up sideways or upside down but then a standard buggy body will not fit. if you feel you cant use it i would buy it from you, of course i will probably have to fight scr8p for it.
i was just gonig to bolt the two chassis togeather using common holes and then drill for the sealth trans. i'll take some pics when i sart putting stuff together. so, do rear bulkhead and shock tower stay in the origional place? i guess i could just start putting stuff together and figure it out as i go.
