Jrx2 slipper set up help
Re: Jrx2 slipper set up help
The funny thing is that the spur fits tight against the motor plate....so the shaft is going into the case...it must just be a little to tight...i really dont want to take it apart again..haha...oh and Dan...i know about the washers, i was just getting it together to see if it actually worked

Re: Jrx2 slipper set up help
The Spur gear does run very close to the motor plate as you can see here on slow_jun's photo... if you are getting adequate clearance between the back face of the pressure plate & the motorplate when it is mounted all the way 'home' along the flat on the slipper shaft... but your spur is still hitting the motorplate then I suggest that your spur gear is not correct... looking at your photo zuki250 it appears that your spur gear is not a Losi one also no slipper pads are shown, there should be a beige coloured pad on each side of the spur gear (they locate on notches moulded on the spur) - obviously if you are missing these then the spur will sit nearer the motorplate

Re: Jrx2 slipper set up help
Of course i have the pads....its an a.e spur...i just didn't put the pads in the photo...my spur is not hitting the motor plate...it looks like the same clearance in the picture above....it was tight..then loosened up and i thought i had it...then when i tightened the slipper it got real tight again
Re: Jrx2 slipper set up help

Thanks for all the help...the gear is the right gear etc...All i did was ream the gearbox out a bit and it's like butter....Just waiting for my new body and the car is ready for the vonats!! Next up is the XX4 that i have coming...time to get this thing on the track and get used to how it handles!!

Reverse?? What is that?
Also try to flip pads to wear the other side.
