With that much chrome, if you run it and break it, you will have 7000 years of bad luck:)

A Novak Mercury receiver would look right at home in there.

You could also possibly have the ESC and receiver cases hydro-dipped in chrome.

I also suggest hydro-dipping. It's rather inexpensive (Car parts that I usually have done are about 10 cents a square inch) so I doubt it'd cost that much. Believe thats what LRP used to do on the blue-chrome cases of the SPX's.

Initial reaction: That exists? i've only seen that fake chrome sticker stuff. This stuff doesnt polish up.
After some research: Might have to buy a roll. No clue if you can polish it though.

This doesnt get around the original problem. All the ESC i've seen so far cant be disassembled completely. If they could be, I would just Deanodize and polish myself. I have a reciever case on the way too so It should be done with. All thats left is the ESC and I might try doing the tape method over my traxxas esc.

Just a note, im looking for an aluminum stealth tranny brace.

Once I get to the point of having my bulkhead machined, I may go ahead and have whatever shop I use make it.

Another update:

-Still waiting on the alloy servo and receiver case to come in.

-The velineon motor was successfully de-anodized and is in the car. I'm thinking i rebuilt it wrong as the shaft still hits the gear cover even with the new spacer I have between the motor and plate.

-My 1/4" cvd kit and b4 shiny cvd's came in. Installation went fairly swift minus 1 roll pin. On a side note, I used a vice to install a roll pin, It was probably the easiest its ever been for me.

-I polished up the panel that came with the roll cage. I cut it into 3 pieces too and mounted the roof directly to the rollcage. The sides are just mounted into the bulkhead.

-Still debating on the ESC to use with this car. between all the parts around the esc, Its gonna be fairly hidden.

-I'd like to thank Dhood and jwscab for helping out with parts, I'll post about them when they arrive.

-I might buy a protech body to cut up smaller covers that fit better instead of using the viper body.

-I cut grooves into the back end of the front axles to ease working on them. Front end now has less play from solving a few wheel problems.

-I test out a new rear bulkhead in another car, it can be seen in this thread. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=33199

-The battery is installed under the channel piece but I havent figured out how to mount the channel to the car yet. It will not be removeable sadly because of the rollcage so the battery will live in the car between using it.

-thinking of finding a small piece of aluminum tubing to act as a fake antenna tubing.

I felt the same way after seeing askbob's whole lotta metal build. You just gotta find something to make the build your own.
