Modular 3 pc beadlock wheels
Thought I'd post a few photos of some modular bead lock wheels I've been working on. I bought a pair of 2.2 sand paddle tires for the snow season. Turns out they are 1/2" wider than the tires I now run. Instead of making another pair of rims I decided to make a modular wheel to accommodate different widths, and a bead lock so I can avoid the glue. The fronts are one piece bead lock. I'll paint/ or etch the wheels to kill the bling.

Re: Modular 3 pc beadlock wheels
looks nice, those larger tires are truck tires (hence the size).

We had the first light snow, so time to switch to the paddle tires. The Mini Cooper is running 4 stock plastic RC10 gold pan rear wheels with knobby tires, a direct bolt on.

Yea, I'm trying to avoid buying different rims for different tires. The rims on the front of the buggy are a 2 pc aluminum rim in the stock 1.6/1.8 size for the rear. I made a back section that takes the stock bearings that attaches to the front so I can run a wider tire on the front.

Hey Timmy, just entertaining myself until the serious snow.
I'm currently running the stock motor, I thought about trying either a 35 or 45T motor for more torque, any opinons.

Finally got some decent snow. I mounted the paddle tires on all 4. The fronts are the original rear stock size.
