go to your picture in your album. put your cursor over the picture and a box with 4 links will come up. Just click on the bottom link and its copied. Paste it in your message and it'll come up for you.

so how do you know this used to be kent's car? did you buy it from him?

I emailed Mr. clausen today, this is his reply:

Hi Joey,

That's an old one! I seem to recall that Ron was into real off-roading, maybe a baja style VW bug and a Rabbit rally car? I used to take my Scirocco to VW Specialties for service, Ron was always a super nice guy.

I'm guessing that was a very early RC10. In the early days of AE off-road, sometime around 1984-85, I was very busy with on-road racing but AE gave some of the team drivers an RC10 to try out. The holes in the chassis were probably done by Curtis Husting at Associated. The tranny may even have been built by Jay Halsey, he was the expert at getting the original transmissions to spin freely. So it could have been a car that I drove or it could have been a car I got specifically to give to Ron. Either way it's a cool old RC10 with some factory team mods. The body looks like a quicky paint job I did for him. The SCR stick packs, Reedy gold star motors, and Novak ESC came from the same era, good stuff.
