Who do you use for a bearing source? I was looking on Tower and just need the flanged rear carrier bearings and front wheel bearings. 3 sets.Charlie don't surf wrote:Personally I always use bearings- the bushings can, over time stain the nylon in the case of RC10's
and you can still get them for about a buck a bearing, $14 per car isn't bad-
One source is ebay such as http://cgi.ebay.com/Associated-14pc-RC10-B3-B4-T2-T3-T4-GT-Ball-Bearing-Set-/220546158035?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3359934dd3#ht_1969wt_1106CamplinP wrote: Who do you use for a bearing source? Funny ass movie.tucker330 wrote:Remember in the movie Fletch when he is "inspecting" the airplane and says "It's all ball bearings these days!". IMHO don't mess with bushings.
Yeah, I see that point. The problem is that I have sort of built these up from new parts and they don't have a lineage or boxes really to denote a 6010 or 60??. So bearings it is. So does anyone want a crap pot of oilite bushings?scr8p wrote:these days, when you can get them for $1.00 each, the only reason to put bushings in something is if you're restoring a vehicle and that's what it's supposed to have.
