I always thought that the flat black paint on the lexan bodies that I had seen were for show and not for durability. Can someone confirm non-Lexan specific paints that have been used successfully in painting lexan and attest to their reasonable durability? I always thought that non-lexan specific paint and/or or paint on the exterior of the body would be unacceptably fragile.
And re: automotive lacquer: are any of the commonly available auto supply spray paints still lacquer, or have they all become acrylics? I for one would love to use some of the more densely pigmented factory colors that I have seen in the aisles at PepBoys, for example.
pretty much all spray can paint you will find at the local automotive store is lacquer enamel, with the exception of the water cured urethane and epoxy systems (like por-15, etc)

Maybe try fuzzy skin? In Cura you can do this and it creates a textured outer wall, may give you the finish you are looking for.
What kind of flat black paint do people use for the *outside* of the body, to paint in the roll cage areas? Is there a flat black paint meant to go on the outside? Or are they just using normal paint, or even the Krylon fusion plastic paint?

If it's an aluminum 8-32 screw in an rc application it's almost always 100 degree unless it's metric , then it's 90. If it is steel there is a good likelihood it's 82 degree. You won't find 100 degree in black oxide easily, sometimes in stainless....
