Motor ?

Post by joel45acp »

I just got an RC10 I won on Ebay and I'm in the process of restoring it. It came with a blue motor having a sticker that reads Speed Gem 2. Can you folks give me an insight as to the best gearing? Thanks for your time and hope you have a great weekend.

Also, the previous owner drilled tons of holes on the bottom of the tub. What is the best way to cover them up? Thanks again.

I dont know about that motor, Sapphire maybe? Try searching speed gems motors to find the windings and then helping with gearing will be easier.

For the holes in the chassis, you can use chassis tape (AE, JConcepts & others) to seal the holes on the bottom, that should help. For a more permanent fix, not sure, JB Weld or something?

If you go the chassis tape route, you can custom order a chassis wrap from Upgrade-rc.com

Thanks JK Racing. Just curious though, how durable is that skin? How is it applied? Thanks for the motor info. Bro.

17 TURN SINGLE WIND if memory serves me correctly.Chassis protection film is like a tuff thick decal peal it off backing and stick it on chassis bottom.DON
