Exactly, these are not Houge arms no longer. This is why I have changed the title of this thread to Ruf-Trailing Arms (for lack of a better name).
Update: Due to the old wheels and tires becoming scarce, I have all the info now to try and get the trailing arms to work with the B4 wheels, bearings and possibly universals.
I hope this will make more people apt to want to buy them since you can use currently available wheels and parts. Wheelbase will match the B4 wheelbase width in the back.
Once finished with this phase II of the design, I will post for you to see, while keeping the old initial designs intact for historical purposes.

Don, the original houge trailing arms I don't beleive needed any special shock hardware.

There's no special top mounting needed with the Houge arms. Since these are based on the Houge design, they will not need anything special either.

HOUGE alloy arms i had did need the top tower mount on my andys chassis.Sold it to a guy in cali.But if they dont even better!!!I got two vw baja bug bodies waitin for a set or two lol.Don

Thunderstrike, precisely because those were not Houge but either Andy's or A&L arms. Houge did not sell aluminum alloy arms that I am aware of. Only molded ones.
The Houge system did not require anything different at the top due to the geometry.
These aluminum arms should not require anything at the top either, as I go to redesign the bottom for B4 rims now. Just a little more time.
Machinist has already been told to make the base mounts for the 1st set to test.

Arms are in process, and since there is an ample supply of Thunder Tiger 2.2 wheels available ( JHarris will have the part number for the wheels) you can use them with these arms.

OK, we have a close cost estimate now from my machinist for one set of trailing arms all from aluminum (2 mounts, 2 arms and 2 Stainless hinge pins) for 195.00 shipped.
Please realize these are custom made items and not a production run so the price is what it is. There is no room for haggling on this price.
Once he is finished with the 1st set of arms, I will post pictures of the set for your consideration. The way this will work is if you want a set, you will need to prepay through my paypal, then he will make you a set, once I receive them I will then pay him for you and ship them to you in a flat rate small box, which should reach you in about 3 days.
But just to get an idea of what he might be looking at, and now that you know the price: Please chime in if you are still interested in a set of these, and once we have posted the completed pictures, I will then take pre-paid orders for those that want them by PMing you with my paypal.
Please take into consideration that this is for people that either have a Houge Chassis or want to make their own as currently I have no provisions for cutting a 30 deg bent graphite panel with CNC precision.

Just to add to what Ruffy posted; The first set will be going on my Houge car. I will model the arms mounted and even get some video of the car in action with the arms mounted. What I would want to know is - when I snap pictures would the interested members prefer to see them in the natural aluminum color or in the hard black anodize that this set will eventually wear?

The cost Ruffy posted does not include any type of anodizing. Because the cost is much higher than originally anticipated, I will cover the cost of anodizing the arms for anyone that wants a set. No I am not made of money, I just want to help provide the parts that other members need to get these cars back out on the track!

Just a guess, but I doubt anyone was willing to shell out $195.
