Hot Dog Ebay score

Post by Alex B »

Latest score from flea bay in excellent condition apart from the bottom of the chassis which is scratched quite a bit. Should clean up really well.

If anyone has got any tips on restoring the chassis or has an original YR4 chassis feel free to post.

I'm thinking you can scrub it really good, sand it down with say something like 400-600 grit, then put a thin layer of crystal clear epoxy on it, let that harden, then sand it flat with some very fine paper, 1500 or so....

Personally I'd just get a new body with belly-pan from mr-lexan. With a belly-pan painted from the inside no one will be able to tell anyomore the chassis is scratched.

I have a spare chassis but am reluctant to let go of it , sorry

The hot dog body does have some minor differences when compared to the Protech IV, but for the most part it's the same. Yokomo and minor differences, I don't get it.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Main difference are the two little bumps on the front to accommodate the screws for the top deck.
