That's the Novak NESC-4 made from 1985 to 1988. Find the info on this page.

I ran the 4 for several years and it was great. It did have the inline 30 amp fuse soldered in and I blew it out a few times running into the bed or kitchen table, so it must have worked. Just wondering, was there ever a Novak 2 or 3? My first was a 4 and now I have a 1, but I never saw a 2 or 3.

On the link I gave in my previous post to the Novak Timeline it shows there was also an NESC-1, NESC-2 and an NESC-1X besides the NESC-4. I have the 1, several 4's and the 1X but have not seen a NESC-2 come up so far on eBay but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.

which novak Esc is the one that recharges the battery when you let off the throttle? apparently when you let off the throttle the battery rejuvinates ( motor acts as a generator for a few seconds?)

back in the day this was pretty fancy and expensive. any one ever heard of this one?
