Was wasting time in Harbor Freight and seen these.

The tips are tiny and they seem to hold well. They also reminded me about the lifetime warranty.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Going to get the correct gap, then try to apply it to the other side to see if I have it exactly correct, and then report back with the actual setting necessary. Eyeball it for now. Then set your camber at ride height. https://www.amainhobbies.com/rpm-precision-1-10th-1-8th-scale-camber-gauge-rpm70...

Re: Favorite tools
While I love all my tools I just recently picked this one up and cant help to smile every time I hold it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7PXG3R9 This would be so much more handy than the big heat gun for shrink tubing. I bought this several months ago for heat shrink, because the mini torch is too mu...

Re: Fan RC FR-01
The Fan RC belcranks have material added to the ballstud areas meaning they have more thread engagement than your setup. The pic I posted earlier shows what I'm talking about. This is also what I was saying would need to be shaved down. For some reason, the picture of the Fan Rc bellcranks didn't s...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
How is JBL these days? Is the quality still there? I have a soft spot for them since I still have my L100s I bought new in 90 or 91 driven by the same old Carver I bought at the same time. I have some more recent JBL amps. I think that they are as good as anything else in the same price range. They...

Did you pull the armature out? Mine were all clearly marked.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Personally, I like the Windex and hair dryer method. It works really good for weird angles and body lines.
I use a small (breath spray size) pump sprayer that I got somewhere.

Re: Handling characteristics of RC Brands
For my back yard escapades, I find that my somewhat less balanced vehicles to be more enjoyable. Wheelies and power-slides are more fun than a planted race car, when winning isn't on the line.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
The problem is with the series circuits. As individual leds fail, the voltage increases.
But something else to keep in mind is that leds are polarity sensitive, like any other diode. If whoever assembled those pigtails got the polarity backwards, it could cause you some problems.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
All this motor talk, are brushless motors still a thing in RC? I believe they were more for racing than crawling because they're more a high speed/low torque motor. Once you get away from vintage, crawlers, and basic RTR's, they are pretty much the thing. I believe that brushed motors offer better ...

Re: Traxxas High Voltage Lineup 1996
Is this the official turning point when Traxxas gave up trying to beat AE and Losi at the racing game and decided to focus on basher/fun type vehicles? From a business standpoint, it was a great decision. AE and Losi are now owned by other companies and Traxxas is a titan. As a whole (not their ind...

Re: The Lives and Deaths of RC Companies
What are your thoughts? In my opinion, there is no real money to be made solely with racing. A race car is just a hole to throw money in (at any level, RC or full scale). The money in racing is made with sponsorships (advertising) and sales promoted by winning (more advertising). The Holley corp do...

Re: Battery question for the RaeRe RC10 40th and DS
The battery doesn't force power through the esc, the esc regulates the power. The motor and esc will take what they want. A battery CAPABLE of discharging faster than the power requirement shouldn't cause any issue. To a certain point, the esc might function better. 1060's are known for going into l...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Not all today, but been slowly chipping away at what will be a Brat/Mud Blaster mashup. It was built from parts like I wanted, not a modified kit.
