Re: JC 5 Spokes Being Re-made?
These are really nice wheels - lightweight and look good. Certainly given life to my old Procat. Great company to deal with too.

Re: Buds orange CAT belt
Thanks guys. Instead of using the kit belt tensioner (which wasn't very effective) I've put spacers between the front gearbox and housing brackets. I reckon my belt needs a spacer of about 3mm to run right. There was a detailed tuning article on the Procat. I've got a hard copy but I've forgotten wh...

Re: schumacher cat what a nightmare
This week I 'ave been mostly... building my Procat. Yes, takes for ages to get at the gearbox but I know it inside out now. Hopefully racing it at Stotfold again this Sunday and will try to get videos (promise!) Unfortunately I broke the bumper and nylon z-bracket last Sunday... Doh - doh - doh (echo)

Re: Buds orange CAT belt
Hi Jeff I'm just rebuilding the transmission on my Procat (takes ages!) and got out the orange belt, voila... http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/IMG_9353.jpg I'm racing it again on Sunday - you reckon I should definitely fit the orange belt? Someone said they can be more slippy - but my ...

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries
Arghhhhhhh! Cracked the front bumper today! Nevermind, it's been properly "christened" and is a true runner. Made the B final (OK there were only two 4WD finals) and came exactly in the middle. Hope to get some videos up after next meeting. So now looking for driveshafts (new) and a front ...

Re: Look - Japanese style Procat shell?
Love that split window. Is that easy to do with masking tape or should I try liquid mask. Hate painting shells and I don't want to muck it up. Who is that guys by the way? Luke

Re: TBG Team Bluegroove repro Procat shells
I like Jasons paint job on the Kamtec shell, like a tiger!
I've ordered mine and want to to give it a high visibility paint job.
My son says pink, orange and white. Any suggestions?

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries
I fitted fitted Bosscat hub carriers and changed the one way driveshafts to normal ones. It makes the front end 21g lighter. I drove it around a bit and it goes great. Can't wait to race it on Sunday - first time in 17 years! I've been doing some weighing and this Cat is LEAN... Ni-MH to Li-Fe batte...

Re: My Vintage runner
Hi Chris. Interesting, you used collets to secure the rear wishbone hingepin. I also see you're using Bosscat front hubs. Did you have to sand down the upper wishbone spacer T161 to get the right camber? How narrow did you go? Have you raced it yet? I'm going to have a go at Stotfold on Sunday. Wish...

Buds orange CAT belt
I've got an orange belt by Buds Racing Products. Does anyone know how these are better than the kit item? It feels more plastic and less "belt" like (?)
Also, looking for some new CAT driveshafts (not one ways) ta.
Luke

Look - Japanese style Procat shell?
This guy did a great job on his Procat shell. Does anyone know who he is? The window has been split in three like the Bosscat. Is this a regular Procat shell? I'm thinking of doing the same with my Kamtec repro shell. http://marie.saiin.net/~sakaki035814/pro%20cat%20.htm http://i103.photobucket.com/...

Re: Associated spurs that fit Schumacher?
Thanks Jeff. I found that the thrust washer plate wasn't quite seated flush in the slipper assembly. I'll try another make spur when I'm next down the model shop.
