- RC10 Dual Sport: "My Toyota is fantastic" -

Post by Asso_man! »

Hi guys, just presenting the only project I'm working on lately, I have had the DS chassis for a very long time and it was about time I find a nice body for it. Although there's a hint in the title I'll let you guys guess what model it is  I'll have to move the exhausters a bit backwards to have them protrude from the body but I'm still wondering how to do it; I'm also on the hunt for a complete set of DS body retainers/posts, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sexy!
I've seen the body before on a tourer here, but it's gonna look better on your car for sure.

That Rocks Asso_man! I've had a nitro DS for awhile now but have been wanting to finish up a couple of projects so I can get an electric version together...this might be the inspiration I needed  .

"You Only Live Twice" had Jame Bond in Japan, I don't remember if the whole thing was set in Japan but a good part was. There's a write up about it:

David, are those three piece mold lines I see cutting across the rear window and hood? It would have to be to get the undercuts, unless it is blow modeled.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

That was actually the very first thing I noticed when discovering the body for the first time and my guess was also that they used a 3 piece mold, most probably because of the rear and front end going to the inside of the body, making it quite difficult to remove the body after the molding process. It was also the first time I noticed such a thing on a body... Anyway, the scaling and its look are amazing IMHO and I am already in the process of having it airbursh painted until the very last detail together with a 1st gen box-art body to go along with my early Edinger car 8) It will probably take time and I can't wait to see them finished, by the way Jay, do you still have a decal sheet with the n°10 for the bax-art car? I need to find as many stickers as possible to complete that project, even good scans as the painter is able to use them to make masks and paint about every detail without using stickers...

Nice project. I'm a fan of the DS and that's the first one I've seen with the MIP tranny. Cool stuff.

Are these the pieces you're looking for?:
