My Christmas Blizzard!
I finally got one! Have wanted one for years, but just couldn't ever bring myself to pull the trigger. This Christmas though my lady surprised me with the wifi version
I have only gotten a few minutes of drive time so far, but I am impressed with how she works. I've begun installing lots of lights. Hope to have the installation complete in the next couple days. My plans are to have enough light that I can sit inside and drive even after dark.
I will be making a maze of snow trails and tunnels out in the yard and we will see who can navigate them the fastest by only using the view on the tablet screen

Re: My Christmas Blizzard!
Finished up the installation of the lights, and got it out for some fun in the snow finally.
I thought I had gotten some on board video but I had hit the picture button not the video record button lol. I'm gonna try and get another run in this afternoon, if so I'll get video.

It's a lot of fun. I will probably upgrade the power system over the summer, to have it ready for next winter. Too many other projects going on this winter, so I'll just enjoy it as is for now.

Great work with the lighting...good job having different lights on the front and rear, so you could actually drive it at night, and know whether you're coming or going.
I'd love to have a Blizzard someday, especially since where I come from, there's more areas with snow during the year than areas with dirt. Just can't afford one...maybe someday! For now, the only Blizzard I can afford comes from Dairy Queen.

Now that's all that I want!Coelacanth wrote:the only Blizzard I can afford comes from Dairy Queen.
Cool Blizzard BTW. Does is use a typical controller or do you drive it with the tablet too? I don't understand this wifi part of it.

Re: My Christmas Blizzard!
Thanks! I am pretty pleased with the lighting so far. Haven't gotten a chance to test it out at night yet but I will this weekend. Blizzards from DQ are also great!

Nice. Blizzards are great fun in the snow. Curious how well the Wifi control works. Is it easy to control? Does it have a pretty clear picture?

Re: My Christmas Blizzard!
Controls are very simple. Pretty much identical to using a 2 stick radio. The camera has a nice clear picture, and a wide angle view so it's pretty easy to see a lot of what is going on even if you aren't looking at the Blizzard itself.SMOKE-DOG wrote:Nice.
