Kyosho Blizzard ID and Info Please
Ok so i got this Blizzard from a member at ClodTalk, I was shocked when it arrived in such good shape, Looks to have only been run once or twice.
Can anybody tell me what version it is? I know its nitro but is it like a DF...
Id also like to convert it to brushless, anybody ever done this? Any help would be appreciated

Re: Kyosho Blizzard ID and Info Please
I think its a DF300 if that sounds right. Does it have a GS11x in it? I would love to have one of those they look just plain cool. I would leave it nitro but thats just me. Of course if it was brushless and it had a plow on the front that would be awesome.
Those are my toys and no I will not share!

It was listed as a GS11R, I have not looked at the motor yet, I have never had any luck with nitro lol, I might give it a try again, maybe this one will work out for me, I had a Revo 2.5r and it was nothing but problems, then i got an OS TZ motor for it and it was better but still a pain in the butt lolrhino1 wrote:I think its a DF300 if that sounds right. When traxxas went to a composite carberator they were asking for trouble. Just ain't right. The OS TZ motor is a very hard to hurt motor. Newer carbs don't seem as user friendly as the older ones (think cv-r and before).nvxwax wrote: I had a Revo 2.5r and it was nothing but problems, then i got an OS TZ motor for it and it was better
Those blizzards have always been one of those 'must have' oddities I seem to be drawn to. A brushless conversion in there would be simple enuf. Not sure about the 2 speed but the rest looks like it would be pretty straight forward. Nice example of an old nitro blizzard though. Keep us posted on what you do with it NVX.

I would love to own a brushless Blizzard or do my own conversion someday...but that might be way over my head.

Thanks guys,
I might give the nitro a shot lol, I have been watching the Blizzards on eBay for the past 2 months, They all went for around 250 and up in good condition, I got this one RTR for 185 shipped from Hawaii, and the condition just makes the deal that much sweeter lol

You got a nice deal. That's a pretty clean Nitro Blizzard. They are a lot of fun in the snow. I have a Blizzard DF300 and run the crap out that thing when I can.
It's not a DF. Yours is the version that came right before the DF. I think it was just called the Nitro Blizzard. The electric version of the time was the Blizzard EV.
