Just Got a TRX-10 Bullet
Just Got a TRX-10 Bullet
Hey all.
So I just picked up a Bullet. It was kind of an impulse buy, but for $17, I figured it would be fun. Anyway, I see that TBG repros the body for it and several other vintage Traxxas buggies. Which ones will fit the Bullet without too much issue? I would really like to go with the original style, but I can't find the roll cage. Does anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks!
GS

Re: Just Got a TRX-10 Bullet
radicator would fit, probably trx3 too. Trx1 might fit but since the bullet has the top tray, it might curve down too much and run into it. They all might need some tweaking when trimming, I can't recall the wheelbases, but I think the bullet is shorter than trx1 and trx3.
otherwise, likely the bandit body, or jconcepts bandit body. illusion or something like that?
of course, rc10 bodies should be close too.

Re: Just Got a TRX-10 Bullet
spot on. These bodies work great and are cheap enuf. I have pix of one of mine with a rad body but can't get this computer to load it. The cages are really hard to find and are rarely without a complete car attached. The traxxas nitro buggy will show up about as often and the cage is similar minus the side 'curtains' but again attached to a complete car. Its not uncommon to have to buy complete lots to get these body partsMr. ED wrote:I guess the radicator body would fit pretty well?

Got to see pix of yours when you get it. At $17 it was well worth it. I had to put my first one together out of parts since no one wanted to give up runners at the time and I don't think I could get a single part of it for less than your whole car cost

Thanks for the info guys. What did you use for the wing mounts?
Here are some pics of the car. These are not mine, but from the person who sent it to me.

Re: Just Got a TRX-10 Bullet
It looks like he used yokomo wingmounts.
First thing to do: get both rear tires pointing in the same direction
The bullet is a lovely car, If traxxas could have brought it out like a year, or 6 months earlier, it 'd probably have been a bigger succes though. Things were evolving fast back then.
I think I spot atrintity monster horsepower motor in it too. Real nice deal.

Haha, yeah, the rear tires are shot, so I will be replacing them anyway. I am having a hard time resisting the urge to take this thing out to the local vintage races.
