Traxxas TRX-10.1 Bullet LW

Post by GoMachV »

Took a little weight off this Bullet. Long graphite towers, some aluminum screws, light rear arms (fronts coming), custom upper deck, long gold shocks, ball diff, lightweight one piece wheels and (coming) a light body. Oh, and of course black anno

Could have actually been competitive at this trim, it's weight is just under that of an aluminum tub RC10

Here it was as I got it. Looks good, but there wasn't one straight part on it!

That needs the graphite chassis RAD2 expert for some extra sparkle.

Looks very competitive compared against anything that was out around the same time

I considered making the upper out of carbon but thought it might be too much.

The chassis I'm talking about doesn't look like graphite or carbon. Some body had the strangest idea and designed it to covered with a glittter-metalic black coating.

For looks it would not match your anodising, but it is light-weight and actuaaly sooo stiff you could do a way with the topdeck entirely.
(Which would be a pity of your work, but lighter and with a lower center of gravity.)

Are you talking about the stock Eagle chassis? It's painted carbon fiber, from the factory. I have that one here...

That's the chassis indeed, but mine had a different coating : with gold and purple sparkles in it. It was factory done because the chassis nr sticker was still on it.

I'm glad you bumped this, I forgot that I trimmed up the Radicator body for it. I like the way it looks with the battery cutouts, it changes the look just enough
