rc10 nose tubes
I was wondering if anybody knows about rc10 nose tubes. My early 10 has a silver color to them, and my later one has more of a gold color. I've looked around the site for photo's but the color changes from photo to photo on the same car, probably due to lighting. I've tried to take shots to post, but it doesn't show the difference very well, if at all. I'm trying to finish a later ce, wondering which one would be correct, my first guess would be gold, thought I would put it out there.

Those are no different than the various shades of gold (and black for that matter) on any of the other pieces. Either one would work, but that being said, i've probably seen more darker tubes on stealth ce cars.

Re: rc10 nose tubes
I also have a question about nose tubes. Which cars came with the black tubes? Was it just late team cars and the worlds car?

Re: rc10 nose tubes
Worlds car has black tubes, or rather that not-quite-black anodizing that the rest of the chassis pieces have. I honestly can't remember if my old Team car ones were black or not; I think so, but I sold it 15 years ago. RC10T also has black tubes, but they're shorter and cross-drilled at both ends.
Somewhere along the line I ended up with a pair of blue-anodized standard size RC10 nose tubes. No idea where those came from. Aftermarket, probably.

Yeh I've got the same blue tube's on my runner 10t. I know off the top of my head the 7315 part number. I've been looking for a couple of back sets for a while. All I can find are the blue ones.

Re: rc10 nose tubes
yes, team and worlds cars had the black tubes.
but i don't know if i would throw out the possibility of having a few late ce's getting boxed up with black tubes. might have to keep an eye out for that one...... on cars you can say look to be unmolested anyway.

Re: rc10 nose tubes
I just checked tower, only the blue
That's actually where I bought mine. My local hobby shop stopped stocking those a few years ago, they had one blue set left, So I took it anyway( didn't want to leave empty handed)

I think Reggie was talking about the buggy tubes, not the truck tubes.marlo wrote:I just checked tower, only the blueThat's actually where I bought mine. My local hobby shop stopped stocking those a few years ago, they had one blue set left, So I took it anyway( didn't want to leave empty handed)

Re: rc10 nose tubes
The black tubes are still on towerhobby. Number LX2774 in stock. I wish I would have ordered a spare set last time I placed an order.

Re: rc10 nose tubes
I just checked, #lx2774 is there , but they are for buggy. With what regg was saying, regarding shipping, I have bought a few items from tower, and shipped to my door ( Canada ) was like 35.00, for 8 shock rods. Parts would have fit into a bubble pack, but they pact it in a very large box, ok there were a few more items in there but no were near enough to fill a box like that. Its like they have a set size box, regardless on what goes in it.
