My old...is new but still kinda old build!

Post by HDMM »

Been messing with the gold pan the last couple of days, took out the crappy traxxas ESC I had in there, reprogramed and installed a axial (castle sidewinder) ESC in there instead, running into a Trinity Cobalt Pro 27t stock brushed motor. I got a new body and wing and got it all painted up. I took and did a little trimming here and there and got a B2 spur gear cover to fit very nice. I also ordered a set of wheels & tires from JC Racing so I can run this at my track, just to play with it a bit.

I didn't know Castle makes ESC's for brushed moters too.

Going to race it a little, there are a few guy with them at the local rack and we are trying to get a vintage class going.

This ESC came out of my Axial Wraith (which is brushed), it is made by Castle and is basically a sidewinder ESC. I have the Catlelink setup so I can plug it into my laptop and completely reprogram it. (which I did) I may be able to run a brushless with this too, just trying to confirm that.

Although all I have is bald tires (no JC wheels yet) I'm gonn a take the 'ol car to the track tonight for a little test n tune n fun! I race Short Course Mod tonight, I'm sure the old RC10 will draw some attention when I put it on the track for a little practice!
