Anyone else have this problem?

Post by spyderrc10gt2 »

When I install my battery pack, the wires have to make an immediate 90 degree bend upwards and rub hard on the steering servo. There isn't enough room so the wires can come out at a better angle. Is there something I can do to correct this?

Stick pack or ??
Where is the battery cup in this fiasco? I have cut the holder to allow a little room for the wires to exit but the servo should be a bit forward still. A pic would help

Never thought of that. Is that my only solution? Is this a common problem, or is this just a long pack?

well, you could cut the ears off of the servo so you can slide it forward and attach it with servo tape.

Back in the day 8)

A lot of the plastic caps had cutouts so the wires could run 90° as needed on these when mounting side to side.

Notching or removing the servo mounts as mentioned are also very easy solutions

When I pulled this thing out of the closet, my plan was to get it running on the cheap. I did not want to put a lot of money into it so i purchased a cheap motor and esc. But i have fallen in love with it again lol and now I am wishing I would have put the money toward lipo's and a BL setup. Maybe if work gives me some more OT, i'll throw those parts in the parts bin and get my BL setup :P
