Re: yet another ebay special makeover RC10L project
Unfortunately I didn't notice the damage until I received it. But it isn't that bad. The screw pulled thru the top side and it was repaired pretty well. I sanded it smooth ish... and just went with it. I was going to restore it and then sell it but I am kinda attached now. I might use this project to machine a custom chassis for the first time. Just need to come up with the design and order the carbon plate. I am still experimenting with these cars as I am new to them really. I have an LSO that I have had since I was 15 or so but I never raced it before.
I am basically a novice all the way around even though I've owned rc cars for 25 years or so.

Well, I think you've done a GREAT job rebuilding it. The blue looks very nice with the aluminium brace. Thanks for sharing.

I experimented with tire truing yesterday also. Trued them down to almost nothing and installed an onyx 14 turn double 20.5 AWG motor. I am hoping this thing screams!

Re: yet another ebay special makeover RC10L project
hmm........ i always thought the t4 had a 15t limit.
Re: yet another ebay special makeover RC10L project
According to this there is no minimum number of turns.
I checked out the specs on this ESC when I was looking at one on eBay.
I never bought it, too close to the two Novaks I already have (410 M-5).
Durb69, that car looks amazing, great job!

Re: yet another ebay special makeover RC10L project
Thanks terry! I just installed some gold rim wheels I got in a recent ebay lot. They required some modification on the inside diameter to fit. Nothing a few min on the lathe couldn't fix I also trued them way down. They where huge! I think they finish the look of the car nicely.
