RC10l ebay win

Post by Brandon G »

I really need to stay away from that damn online auction site. I end up cruising around on it at lunch at work and end up gettin more crap than I really know what to do with.

Anyway, since I know this is probably a mutual problem, and I don't think anything is going to change with my habits, I'll just shut up and share my latest:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Associated-RC10L-Wide-Body_W0QQitemZ330383542256QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Vehicles?hash=item4cec64c7f0

It came in 2 days ago. The pics and description dont do it justice. The chassis is not AE, it looks like Composite Craft or similar. Brand new, not a scratch. The motor is an AE stock racing motor, looks brand new. Delrin front bumper, custom made to fit this body. I figured it would look like a homebrew bumper, but the thing looks professionally done. It also has battery cups that look like they were professionally machined out of a block of delrin too. The ESC and radio are new as well. Body looks way better in person and it was finished right, fits perfect, and doesn't have a scratch on it. The only part on the car that looks used is the bottom pod plate. It has a few small pits in it that suggests it was used at one point. That's OK, I have an HPI aero plate on the way to replace it with.

Starting bid and winning bid was $100. I thought it was a touch high, but based on what I received, completely worth it IMO. I'll take some pics if the sun ever decides to shine on middle TN anytime soon.

Sweet deal, his tamiya QD subaru is OK, they are 9.6v and great to look at, that's about it, but that Kyosho F1 if it's in the condition of the RC10L would be a good deal, don't see them at all often.

I like the ss pod because it fits the body so well...

The same seller had 2 really nice Tamiya F1 cars for sale the same time this was available. I bid on one, but it wasn't enough... :(

He has 2 nice RC12's up right now.

He understates the condition of his stuff in the ebay descriptions. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

Brandon, were those the really big cars before the small cars came out. If it is ,that is what started my RC craze mine was a #33 PENNZOIL car the next year the ss cars came out. needless they would not let me run with the SS car cause mine was 2X bigger. JohnnySr.

Johnny, that depends on your definition of big, really!

This car is about 9.5" wide and about 15.5" long with the body installed.

RC10Johnny: The car Brandon has is an SS version, he has a narrow chassis and Pod, you may be thinking of the On-Road "wide" RC10L which is 235mm vs. 200mm for the SS RC10LO (Oval).

Actually its a "wide 235mm" car just has a narrow rear pod  He might be refering to 1/5 1/8 scale.
