RC10L project

Post by SMOKE-DOG »

Picked this up off the bay. Not as clean as the pic suggested but it's cool. Never been into pan cars so this is new to me and I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm not even sure why I bid on it. I think I just liked the look of the white parts.

First thing I'll do is break it down and give the white parts a peroxide bath. I know it's a narrow oval car but I kinda want to put a 9" road race body on it. But I am unsure as to what all I need to change. I know the chassis (any suggestions?) and does the rear pod need to be changed in any way? What about the rear axle? Any help would be appriciated.

in my opinion, if you want a 10l, sell that and buy one. for what used pan cars usually go fo, there no sense in converting the 10lss you have.

chassis, front chassis brace, upper and lower pod braces, t-bar, rear axle, and right diff hub would all have to be swapped.

That is a lot. Hmmmm... Maybe I'll just clean it up and let it sit on the shelf. Or... maybe find a 200mm body that would work.

There are a ton of 200mm bodies that will fit that car. I have both a 235mm and 200mm car and the bodies for the 200mm are much easier to find. The car looks pretty good, and I agree look for a 235mm car and have one of each.
