My Losi Jrx2 Pro

Post by caesar »

Howdy All,

Just sharing some pics of an old losi I had in storage for many years. Just trying to restore it to a reasonable condition. Cleaned her up and added some nip wheels and tyres. Need to get some new turnbuckles/ball cups and new nuts etc. It has an unpainted body which unfortunately has cracks near the front shock tower. There is also some super glue on the chassis and rear shock tower that I need to get off (not sure how yet). Going to get a new body and paint it up in the proformance kit scheme as it was originally a jrx2 and had kit upgrade.

Thats what I thought I have a set of the pink ones in a box also. I really like your car I have a proformance kit Pro also. I have had mine is 1998 and its rebuilt back to stock. I even just scored a real nice JR's choice motor for it.

Hey welcome to the board Ceasar! Looks like you've got a real nice JRX2 'Proformance' there... those wheels look great... I must admit that i've never seen them before, but they go well with the yellow motor plate.

It looks like a nicely specced car .... is that the retro-fit XX transmission, certainly the dogbone driveshafts are XX?

Rick - your proformance car looks sweet.... I spy the beginnings of the box-art paint scheme 8)

Bear that Losi looks great.

Thanks for the welcome Derby......

Not sure what transmission it's got, it was originally owned by a friend and was his weekly racer until he upgraded to the pro se. There were a few parts bip that I got with it and I believe a hydradrive trans brand new but not in the original packaging, I might post a pic of it and maybe someone can tell me what it is.

MIP made a dogbone conversion for the LRM tranny, I have it for my LXT :), I'm sure they did a buggy version as well.

Fantastic looking car, my JRX "mix" car is coming along well, cant wait to put a body on it and hit the dirt.

I think you are correct.... I did a 'Google' search for Losi JRX2s & came across this old RC10Talk thread by Shodog;

The Retro-fit case is normally grey in colour.... the one on caesar's car looks black (although difficult to see from the angle of the photos) so likely to be the LRM?
