Wondering about Parma 540 motor histoy

Is there any of you guys who knows when Parma started to sell 540 motors? You might even have a list over Parma motors. I would appreciate any kind of information in the subject sins I’m gathering parts for a new project.

I got this in an rc12l lot on ebay. I don't know too much about these but I thought it was cool it still had the original box and paperwork.

hi seen this on the old ezbay and never seen one before ... any ways i won the bidding and its on its way to me .

can any one tell me anything about these motors i did a google search and came up with nothing but tyres .

it seems to be in ok condition . going to try test it out later this week in my losi xxx then probably sit on my shelf in my home office .

stumbled upon that one - answers a lot of the questions on brushed motor categories and nomenclature ;)

What do the motor names (Speed 400/500/600 or 05/15/25 mean?

so a standard 540, classes as 05 has the power as a .049 cox engine, or there abouts.

I've seen a few brushed ESCs that advertise they will run 550s but the motor turn limit is usually lower than what 540s it'll run. The Traxxas XL-5 is a good example, 12T 550 vs 15T 540. Why is that? Wouldn't a torquey 550 pull more amps and strain...

First, turn limits are more like recommendations. Amp draw and cooling will determine the true limits.

Second, the armature on a 550 is longer. So each turn requires more wire than a 540. And while this creates a motor with more torque, they are...

What's the typical bearing size for a 540 motor? I had some old stock brushed motors busted open and the comms cut and I want to replace the bushings with bearings. I'm figuring they are all the same size.

I just replaced the bushings on some brand new Associated motors. I used the 1/8 x 3/8 x 5/32 Metal bearings from Avid RC.

So a co-worker for the better part of 5 years has told me about his grasshopper the only rc he ever owned when he was a little kid.

He finally brought it in

to my surprise he had the blue endbell, hopup black endurance motor 540sd on it.

I´ve just spent a months salary on an old parts lot.
Going thru it, I´ve found a white Parma Vette motor # 3029 6 speed.
On the header it says 1/12 vette motor: Adjustable timing - comm trued - balanced - shunted - brushes.

It has two silicon...
