My Team Losi XX CR
Here's my XX CR. Bought it new in 1996. Had fun with it for four years until I burned the Novak Rooster esc I had in it. Stored it in a box for nearly ten years. Last year, I bought new receiver/esc (nothing fancy) and started driving it again. Broke a few parts, replaced them, new tires, new body... Anyway, here it is...

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my paint job. I like it simple and not all colors fits with Losi's yellow wheels.

Re: My Team Losi XX CR
The color is Pactra Metallic Green backed with Pactra Indy Silver. Indeed, the Double-X is great. At the track, it doesn't feel at all like a 15 years old buggy challenging Triple-Xs, RC10B4 or other newer buggies. Pretty impressive, Losi's got it down! Never saw a TLR22 though...

Re: My Team Losi XX CR
Spring tune-up!! Hi everyone, just wanted to share that with you Losi lovers. I don't post a lot but follow the Losi threads constantly. Great stuff guys!
Like I said, it's spring tune-up time for my XX CR... so here it is. I've rebuilt the trans and shocks, replaced cracked yokes, new rear hubs, replaced a couple of stripped screws and bought the #4 and 1/8" hardened washer kit... wow! It's amazing what you can do with a couple of perfectly sized washers! Front and rear wheels are now tight as new. Precise direction and acceleration and not to mention the noise reduction.
I've also replaced my vintage Trinity Midnight (which is in pretty bad shape) for a cheap but fast Venom Fireball 17d. I know it doesn't compare with high quality brushless combos but it does the job. Geared right, there's no overheating at all.
I've got myself a pretty fast, low maintenance buggy! Pics are coming up in the next few days...
Richard.

Re: My Team Losi XX CR
Nice lookin' car,man.
The XX series of cars and trucks were/are something special and remain one of my favorite Losis of them all.
I'm building a XX out of NIP parts,at the moment, just cause I have 90% of the parts already.

Yeah the XX series is kind of the in-between vintage/modern. Good luck building this NIP XX, good luck finding the missing 10% of the parts!FasterLouder wrote:Nice lookin' car,man.![]()

Nice car
I love my XX's as well now after being a RC10 nut for a few years i wanted something else to build, and since getting my first XX i've just kept buying them, just got an XXT to start on as well
There's just something about them, their look, build quality and they run really well to boot

They have a real presence to 'em.
I've now got my shelfer new built Kinwald,a XXT CR G+,a new built XX (being built now),and another XXT arriving Wednesday...Oh,can't forget the XX4,either!
Best handling 4WD buggy ever made, period, end of story, good night Vienna.
Mine even hgas one of Brian Kinwald's old bodies on it.
