Just ran across these. Looks like Team Associated's trying to make the most out of their SC10/RTR plan. Tower shows the brushless versions at $225/$230.

I have a couple olderAirtronics mx-3 radios and I was wondering if anyone has seen a 2.4 conversion for them? I always loved this radio abs I'd love to convert it too continue using it for racing.

Personally I have had no problems with the Traxxas Link system. I have three transmitters (me & 2 kids) and have bought receivers for every buggy we run. I had no problem setting them up, but I am not looking to set exponential steering or anything...

I have a couple Futaba Magnum Jrs. I really like them. They just have the right feel to them in my opinion. Is it possible to convert these to 2.4ghz?
Or convert any of the older radios for that matter?

So I have been itching to do a completely period-correct racer -runner, one with all old Novak bits and an o.g. Reedy Modified motor.
Now for obvious reasons the old radio stuff is not very practical these...

I have a tidy old Futaba Attack R 2channel 27Mhz(bought new in 1987)that I'm
wondering if it can be converted to 2.4Ghz?

I know there are DIY sets out there,but they all seen to be used on 35 & 72Mhz PCM sets.

did mine on a 27MHZ KO EXII set. Do some research first so that you will know what your getting into. Mine I used FRsky, should you go on that path, get the one with the telemetry as it has solved the servo Gitter problem. good luck.

Purchased an additional Associated XP TRS401 receiver from ebay, antenna is cut to about half original length. Is that a no-no with these like the older 75MHz stuff?

I don't own that particular model, but the 3 2.4GHz receivers i have all have about a 5-8 inch long antenna. Came that way straight from the box. But like suggested, do a range test, or have a very trusted Fail Safe if its a nitro.

Forgive me if this has been covered before. I did some searching but couldn't find the answer.

I recently dug up my old cars and purchased a new 2.4ghz setup. I'm not sure how to situate the dual antennas of the receiver.

I have a Futaba 3PL FHSS system. Am I stuck with only Futaba FHSS receivers or are there cheaper aftermarket alternatives that are fully compatible?

I only know of the ones from Hobby King that are compatible for the FASST systems. I have used the FrSky ones with great results.

The Futaba FHSS ones you can get pretty cheap on eBay for around 30 dollars though.
