annodizing question
Anyone ever have any luck having black associated shock caps reannodized? or having some of the new blue shock caps done in black? thought I'd ask before I started hunting for some nice black ones.

Re: annodizing question
Works fine, but it seems you have to leave them in the acid bath longer than some other parts

Re: annodizing question
I reanodized my shock caps on my 10t. When I initially did the anodizing, the shock caps did not take the color properly. This really confused me because I had other parts in the same lot that took the color fine. Anyway, I repolished everything and tried again. The second time I anodized the shock caps by themself and left them in the electrolyte a bit longer to make sure I got a decent charge. Once I was satisfied, they went into the dye. I waited about five minutes and checked them and they had soaked the color up, much darker than what I wanted but they still look good.
This is a long answer to your question, yes they can be reanodized black, and you can turn the gold ones black as well.
