are the original spur and pinion still availible ? If not what can I use ? i checked out tower but the part #'s I have from the manual don't come up. If I go to a 48p what do you guys recomend. thanks dave

Thanks for this great forum, I know this has been answered before. I have tried the search and came up empty. In one of the early RC10 Manuals it states to OIL the Bushings in the tranny and rear end. What is a good modern oil to use during a...

I was rebuilding a couple 6 gear transmissions when I noticed a difference in my 6612 Axle Drive Gears.
Maybe common knowledge, but axle clearances with the outdrive has always been a problem for me.
Droop vs engagement etc.
So is this depth...

Just got a six gear transmission off the bay. Opened it up to see it have all metal gears and bearing through out, is this a up grade?. Is it safe to run brushless set on it?

The local hobbyshop owner was so happy I bough all this old stuff he couldn't get rid off... he gave me his old custom made gears.

Hello everyone

I've looked through all 16 pages of this forum to see if I could find an answer to my question 1st, but I found two conflicting answers.

What is the gear ratio of the stock six gear transmission? is it 1.87:1 or 1.83:1?
