A guy here in Melbourne (Ant Howard) did a handful of repros for Bormac (Jason Millhouse) a while back.... but not sure if he's doing any more any time soon.... maybe a petition here would help. I know I could use one.... autoxvw, that's two.... anyone else????

Re: cougar 2 works part?
Yep I'll put my hand up for this one- LOL. Not happy with one of my mates driving a car that looked as though it was ready to be retired I offered James my Schumacher rebuiding services to see if I could get this car up to scratch for the race track. I wish I had of taken before pics as the car was in dreadful shape. After getting it back to my workshop I stripped down 'EVERYTHING' then cleaned and inspected each individual part for wear. Whatever I found worn or broken i replaced ( Free Of Charge) and even spec'd up the car by replacing the bronze bushes I found in the steering levers with the correct bearings and spacers. The car was well used/raced and much of it was hanging on by a thread but after 2 days of solid work I ended up replacing the drive belt and pulleys, new spur gear with correct ratio for the stock motor, replaced most of the screws/nuts etc..polished the shock shafts, deep cleaned all the sealed bearings then relubed with 'INOX' for smoother operation, supplied reasonable used tyres both front and rear while stripping the worn rears and 'BLEACHING' the rims and discs to match a set of fronts I had which I was throwing onto the fronts to replace the original Cougar 1.9inch rims. The list goes on- I rewired the speedo, supplied another servo and an assortment of other bits and bobs. Needless to say after testing the car it is ultra smooth and look a treat better than what it used to.vintage racer wrote:Mine just went missing when I gave my car to a guy for a rebuild so Ill be needing one too.
James if you are reading this please give me a call. Ive been trying to call you but you arent answering- not sure why??
As for the gear cover- 'I FOUND IT!'. What a goose, I had it in with your old spares and must have overlooked it. Im sorry about the confusion.

The car is just about ready. I still need to get you those front shocks from Heavy. The ones on the front pictured i have borrowed temporarily from by Procat. Give me a call. Cheers-Jason.

Ouch!! Did not know that. I understand the concern on your part. I would be able to compensate you a bit if you decide to go ahead and sacrifice your OE cover.
