M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
Hi Guys I need some help I purchased a beat up RC10 that has a 1988 MIP belt drive tranny. Trouble is that I think the tranny hasn't been assembled correctly and does not run smooth at all. Does anybody have or know where I can find the original assembly sheet for this diff?

Re: M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
pictures would be great, but to my knowledge, only A&L and Trackmaster made belt drive AE trannies. MIP was a 3 gear - pre stealth trannie.
better guidance can be given if we know exactly which one you have.

Re: M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
do you have a belt on the spur gear or on the diff, inside the tranny? A pic would definitely help tohether with more details about your problem...

Re: M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
It's on the spur gear..to the pinion(of course) on the outside..came with several different sized spur pulleys? and different sized belts and it still fits inside the original RC10 gear cover..yep I'll get some pic's taken..
Cheers

Re: M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
There's a thread in here somewhere on how to build a 6 gear the right way, the hyperdrive just goes where the spur and pinion are correct?

Re: M I P RC10 Belt Transmission
have a look here for the Hyper-Drive belt: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=6854 (last pictures of the thread) and here for rebuilding your 6-gear tranny with Jim Halsey: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3748
Note that if you plan to actually run your car with the Hyper-Drive set-up, you'll either need a reverse motor or swapping the motor plate to the left...
hope this helps!
