What type of a coating is on a RC10t motor plate EPOXY ??

What type of a coating is on a RC10t motor plate EPOXY ??
i want to strip off the coating on a rc10t motor plate (the black plate ) to polish it, nothing i have will strip it, i have tried paint stripper, gasket remove, even a light torching, can,t get it off, does anybody know what it is coated with,, epoxy, hard anodized ?????, so i can get the right stripper, thanks

It's hard anodized. Over cleaner should do a pretty good job on it, just be sure to read over the list of precautions first

I polished the motor plate on my RC10 T2's hard anodised,black motor plate.
I have a drill press with a wire brush wheel in it...2 minutes later,a shiny motor plate!

i used some heavy duty oven cleaner on the motor plate and after a couple of soakings the coating came off with some brushing , thanks everyone for your advice on this, mike

oven cleaner is the way to . helpful hint..... when you apply the oven cleaner rap the part in plastic wrap, it keep the lye based chemicals from evaporating to quickly, and will cut down the the time it takes to strip your parts....good luck

and the yellow top easy off is far more effective than the blue.
