JRX-2 Graphite Servo mount? any info?
I picked this up off the bay. Initially I wanted to use it on a runner to try to keep from drilling holes in a nice chassis, but just using the mount without drilling for screws from the bottom up is not strong enough. The holes on the posts are too high up to use servo tape ont he bottom of the servo.
Has anyone seen one of these before? any info on manufacturer would be appreciated. this is the only one I have ever seen(and of course I had to have it)

That's a really nice kit. I've never seen it before. I assume that it came with new steering posts...or was the stock post modified?

do you mean that the servo sits to high off of the chassis to use servo tape? if so, just double it up.

The setup comes with steering posts that are a bit taller than the stock losi parts. the base is about the same height as the LXT posts(the tallest of the 3 types), but it is hex only half-way up and then looks to have a round spacer above it.
The servo is indeed up in the air. doubling up on the servo tape may do the trick.

usually, i wouldn't say to hold a servo in with servo tape. i'm not a fan of that. but being as though it's attached to that brace, there's really no way for it to loosen up.

Assuming that the post (that the servo is screwed on) is threaded on both sides, have you tried flipping the post over to see if it changes the servo height?

The servo posts are threaded on both sides, flipped around the other way there is very little space below the servo. It would probably work that way.
Thanks all for the comments. and help.

nice thinking there, highway.
being as though it has the tall lxt steering posts, your probably gonna need to raise the ball stud on the steering knuckle. you might get some wicked bump steer if you don't. i would think you would anyway..............

Re: JRX-2 Graphite Servo mount? any info?
It wasn't until I started mounting the plate onto my oval car that I realized that if I use this to mount the servo, it would interfere with the battery on the LTO chassis. I have to put the servo off to the right and flip the bellcrank over to keep it away from the battery slots, so I will have to give this a go on another build in the future.
as for bump-steer, it would not have been a problem, I am using the old-style front bumper which goes between the front bulkhead and chassis, so the geometry would be same as stock.

Now that is pretty darn cool. I haven't seen that before til today and am surprised Anthony didn't know what it was or already have one. I am sure it will be moving to the top of people's want list.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

I will be picking up the truck later tonight (wife permitting)...the trucking is coming from a former factory driver, so I will interrogate him on where it came from.
